Currently, TARA is a one-woman operation. Every product is lovingly designed, sewn, filled, and shipped in and from Berlin.

Hello everyone,

I am Michaela, and TARA is my heart project. It took some time for me to arrive at TARA — or perhaps rather, for TARA to come to me. For many years, I worked in business, focusing on completely different topics — far away from the idea of sewing my own products and offering them for sale.
​
But sewing has accompanied me all my life. My grandmother was a seamstress, and from a young age, sewing and a sewing machine were a natural part of my home. This led to many late-night sewing sessions, during which the first prototypes of what would become TARA products were created. I gave those out as gifts to the people dearest to me. The feedback I received — wow — it was truly overwhelming and kept encouraging me to take this leap. And so, here I am :).

My heating pad is a daily companion for me: warming, soothing, feels like a hug. All the more, I am thrilled to lovingly create these pillows for others — with attention to detail, from the heart, bringing a little more comfort into everyday life.
I would be super happy if TARA products found a place into your home (and heart) too, and that together we can let this TARA space continue to grow and flourish.​
